Mediation

Patent infringements and other legal disputes in the field of industrial property protection often involve lengthy, expensive legal proceedings which often consume internal resources.

In combination with short product life cycles, strategic considerations and a closely interlinked value chain, the reckless and one-sided representation of claims is no longer appropriate and economically reasonable.

For these reasons, the mediation process in order to deal with conflicts has now been recognized worldwide and is often chosen as the primary mechanism for the settling of disputes in licensing agreements.

Mediation is to provide the basis for:

  • an impartial basis of information,
  • knowledge-based communications between the negotiating partners and
  • impartial proposals for the coordination of interests between the negotiating partners.

Our experience over many years of acting as mediators of economic interests in industry qualifies us as the competent partner at your side: as a mediator accepted by both parties, who knows the required technological background and is also familiar with the economically relevant circumstances, and successfully acts as an intermediary between both parties.
